One-click agreements, anyone?

The pandemic has had a major impact on the economy. With restrictions imposed on our ability to freely move around, there have been consequences to how we manage our daily lives. When we are confronted with enforced change like this, some struggle to adapt, whilst others find opportunities to succeed.

Many have attempted to create new wealth by launching new businesses and building out eCommerce stores. Some have experienced growth by becoming the standard tools for new ways of working. Others though are seeking to move the game on and innovate the digital customer experience.

There are a lot of companies working to make a difference. One of those I have come across has developed a platform that lets consumers on many eCommerce sites utilise a one-click checkout experience. This approach to providing a simpler online payment journey is very similar to one that Claims Gate is looking to develop for agreements.

Making the experience simpler

We are starting with the legal sector and are building out a one-click platform for contracts and agreements. It’s way past time for this sector, (after all Richard Susskind first beat the drum to transform law with technology back in 1998!) to adapt their digital strategies and adopt fresh ways to deliver services to customers’ game-changing customer experiences.

Although the legal sector continually gets called out on its slow pace of technology adoption, there are changes afoot. The rise of the group claim has been pushing law firms to rethink how they operate at scale. Whilst many remain on a journey of still throwing paralegals at everything, there are others who are seeing the opportunity to move ahead.

It can be a challenge to continually create new onboarding experiences, set up more accounts, and maintain high levels of conversions. But this is exactly the sort of challenge that technology can be applied to and is being proven. Claims Gate is already helping law firms take control to build and optimise the onboarding experience in their own vision.

From retainers to any contracts

Now taking the journey forward is to have a solution where any agreement can be dropped into the platform. Whether they are signing retainers, a partnership agreement, non-disclosures, investor agreements, employment contracts, it doesn’t matter. Drop it in, click to agree, and job done.

The documents could have been created anywhere or on the platform itself. Once it is ready to be reviewed, the client does not need to input anything further other than to accept it.

Customers are more likely to return to brands that recognise them and remember them. They want service providers who can provide a simpler experience where repetition is taken care of. And this is where this type of one-click experience can really deliver.

It provides for an integrated and friction-free journey. There are no passwords or redirects. There is effort needed on the first time of using when a customer will first sign up. But that is no different from any first-time sign-up. Once it is done though, they won’t have to run through it again.

This allows law firms to channel their energies and resource into a much smarter ecosystem of acquisition, conversion, and retention. That is where law firms should be getting to right now.
